there's so much beauty there

eyes.

i am in love with them because they are simply amazing. they are the MOST colorful part of the body. eyes are the focal point of a person's face. they are brilliant, they are captivating - they are beautiful.

one of my favorite things about eyes is their lasting beauty. i have looked long into my grandmother's eyes and am amazed by them. i can bet they were equally as brilliant when she was a gorgeous twenty something as they are today. the color hasn't faded a bit. my second favorite thing (and it's a very close second) is the sheer spectrum of color god has used in people's eyes. from the most beautiful honey brown i've ever seen, to ocean blues, to subtle greys with just a hint of violet, to emerald pools masquerading as eyes - UGHHHHHHH! there's so much beauty there! and it is great.

but eyes are not only color. there exists something very unique about one's eyes. they are looking glasses into ourselves. looking into someone's eyes, you can see deep inside of them. they're like portals to another dimension full of all the stuff that makes us who we are. if you're not sure what i'm saying here, go find a quiet place with a mirror. simply stare right into the eyes of that person in the mirror. just focus on looking at the eyes and i think you'll see what i mean. it's something magical.
